Is that her nose?

So after watching the “Keeping up with the Kardashian” episode when Kim had her whole “botched Botox” debacle, I decided to write this blog.

So clearly, we all know that plastic surgery happens in Hollywood. Your fav, and mine have all had some work done. Whether you want to admit it or not, THEY’VE HAD WORK DONE! It’s just the reality of Hollywood. These people are not born looking like this. They have the best physical trainers, the best make up artist, fake hair for days, and they diet…not for months to shed a few pounds…for years.

So as a huge fan of Kim Kardashian’s flawlessly painted mug, I can say I was highly upset when I was watching this god-awful acting. “I’m allergic to Botox” Kim lied, at the end of the Episode. Now, I don’t know who Kim Kardashian was trying to fool, but we all know she’s not allergic to Botox, or any other surgical procedures that helped create that beautiful face of hers. Let’s just be real:

Rome wasn’t built in a day. And neither was Kim’s face.

Now no one can deny the girl isn’t drop-dead gorgeous. I don’t care what anyone says, this girl has gotten herself a perfume line, a clothing line, a jewelry line, a book deal, a reality show (that’s lasted more then 2 seasons), and is currently a beauty editor, all off of the fact that she’s beautiful. What other reality TV star has done that?

In my opinion though, nothing is wrong with plastic surgery. I mean these people have to compete with people who are deemed the most beautiful people in the world.. These people’s careers are totally based on their physical appearance. They get paid millions of dollars to keep their stomach rock hard, breasts perky, and ass tight. These people are the people who define what “beauty” is in America. So you have to know that it’s not always real.

And this goes for as us normal citizens getting it done to! If you are self conscious of something and want it fixed, who is anyone to judge you? Make up, weaves, spanx, and padded bra’s all serve the exact same purpose as plastic surgery: To achieve a specific look that you are going for.

I remember when Heidi Montage has her 1st batch of surgeries. She looked amazing. She had her nose done, and her boobs done. Now people came down on her hard, but people don’t realize that this girl lives her life on television. Who wouldn’t want to look flawless everyday if you are being recorded 18 hours of your day? You think people are going to tune in to a cast full of ugly people every week? We live in a shallow world. Why do you think we don’t watch The Spin Crowd?

On the same token, it works against them. That pressure to be beautiful 24/7 can be rough, I would imagine. You remember what happened to Tyra Banks when she gained 10 pounds and got caught at the wrong angle. We had the poor girl crying on her TV show talking about “Kiss my fat ass! Im not fat! I’m curvy” and then next season she had dropped 30 pounds. Mariah Carey won’t leave her house due to her new full figure. And because Janet Jackson gained weight a few times, the world is convinced she has a love child that she’s hiding in a closet somewhere. And we all see what Lil Kim and the NEW Heidi Montage have turned into due to plastic surgery.

But it comes with the job. So I can’t say I feel sorry for these people. We support your shows and movies and music, partly because of how you look. People don’t like to admit that, but you don’t see many ugly people at the top of the Success Latter. For every India Arie, there will be an Alicia Keys. Regardless of who’s more talented, the pretty girl always comes out ahead. I mean

Hey Rihanna!!

We now live in a world where looks get you further then talent. So if you can be completely untalented and still average 5.5 Million a year like Kimmy K, why wouldn’t you get your face chiseled to perfection to keep your checks coming in? I know I would.

So before you go screaming about how your fav is such a “natural” beauty just remember this…Their not. And if they are, they’re probably not as successful. Where is India Arie again? I rest my case.
